Basking in the love and showing off my new Art Deco ring at the Grand Californian

So I’m writing this in retrospect. We are one of the couples who chose to push back our wedding for Covid-19. This is way more fun to talk about. . . Let’s tell this story.

Syd and I were due for a good date night. It was a busy December and we needed to de-stress. Syd let me choose if I wanted to go look at lights or go to Disneyland. I chose Disneyland.

I was in a really great mood on the way over. I kept saying I was just so happy and full of holiday joy.

We went to the park and had such a great time. We have annual passes so we know our way around the parks. Syd was a bit nervous Security would make him take out the engagement ring that he had in his wallet. (They didn’t).

At one point we were on the platform of the monorail and it was cold. I was feeling so happy and lucky. We all have those rare moments in life where things are just right. This was one of them. Syd was feeling the love too. We were supposed to go to

It was under the blue bayou sign in New Orleans Square in Disneyland a few minutes before midnight. It was our first fancy meal, (blue bayou). first birthday together and hotel stay (Disneyland) New Orleans was our first vacation together, and the newest pirates of the Caribbean was our first movie date. He proposed 3 years to the date of when he first saw me. Hardly anyone was around. (Nobody saw) The park was nearly empty, and it was all lit up for Christmas! 🎄

So happy! The photographer took this of us.

We went to the water after and met a precious young photographer and she took some pics for us. Very serendipitous!!!

I stopped in my tracks near jolly holiday and was like Syd! I’m not your girlfriend anymore!!! I’m your fiancé! I have a fiancé! He was like yeah you do! It was so magical. We ended the night by drinking our Starbucks by the fire at the grand Californian hotel!
